KNAAPO quality policy for the period to 2010

JSC KNAAPO’s Managing Directors have defined the current quality policy, made themselves responsible for its implementation, and undertaken the liability of the constant enhancement of Quality Management System effectiveness.

Our main goal is to achieve and hold leadership in aviation production in the domestic and foreign markets, to meet needs and demands of our customers, staff, the enterprise stockholders and society.

We shall achieve this goal due to the constant improvement of KNAAPO Quality Management System based on analysis, integrated approach, and internal inspections, corrective and preventive actions.

Thus up to 2010 we need to solve the following questions:

to apply Quality Management System and certify it in accordance with GOST R ISO 9001-2001, ISO 9001-2000, GOST PV 15.002 - 2003;
to certify Quality Management System in accordance with AS 9100/EN 9100;
to provide the manufacturing of products with specified rates of maintainability and technological effectiveness, service life, technological effectiveness, turnaround time, reparability and possibility of application in various climatic conditions;
to provide efficient use of all-type resources ;
to enhance the export potential by products modernization and quality enhancement;
to master and certify the production of new civil aircraft and manufacturing of the SSJ units and components based on the electronic technical documentation;
to continue the arrangement of the enterprise automated corporate management system;
to master the production of new 5th-generation warplanes based on the electronic technical documentation providing the products high quality;
to maintain the infrastructure essential for the conformity with the stated requirements to the products manufactured;
to provide the optimization of production costs intended for the achievement of the planned production prime cost of the manufactured products with those products improving;
to enhance steadily the staff qualification level;
to implement the Integrated Logistics System intended support the aircrafts over its whole service life;
to minimize the customer risks when performing the MOD order;
to enhance the staff standard of life;
to consolidate the staff for the better stimulation of the enterprise’s goals achievement.
JSC KNAAPO basic principles:
to forecast customers needs;
to provide the products design and manufacture quality based on the customers orders assuring income growth of the Enterprise in whole , it’s stockholders and every employee separately;
to manufacture the products of high engineering standard and quality in full compliance with the Customer’s technical specifications requirements;
to provide high-quality products delivery on specified terms; the products operation follow-on support; aircraft, all its systems and components airworthiness support based on the arrangement of warranty and post-warranty service until the aircraft laying off;
to observe the principles of honesty and trustworthiness in partnership.
The stated goals and aims fulfillment at JSC KNAAPO is provided by the following:
Director General and each employee bear the responsibility for quality of the produced items limited to the duties imposed on them;
constant enhancement of the products competitiveness due to their consumer properties subject to customers opinions about their quality and prices;
research of domestic and foreign market, customers expectations and recent scientific advances;
arrangement of products manufacturing effective planning and inventory aimed at the products net cost reduction;
research-and-production capabilities keeping and development;
effective application of the existing production capabilities, advanced techniques and equipment development and application, existing production modernisation;
all-aspect personell training arrangement both in quality management system and skills upgrading/business competence increase;
meeting the requirements of standard documentation, legislative directives for quality liability, safety and ecology norms;
partnership with suppliers aimed at mutually beneficial cooperation;
constant enhancement of the enterprise’s products, technologies and Quality Management System;
certification of the products, production and Quality System to raise customers trust to our products;
elimination of environmental impact of the production results due to new technologies and materials research and application, as well as cooperation with suppliers followed the same principles;
the staff involving in the stated goals solving.

JSC KNAAPO Management considered the Quality as the competitiveness strategic index, the guarantee of new customers attraction and the enterprise prosperity; and will strictly follow the above principles itself and call on the staff to support.
