One of production efficiency heightening directions at KnAAPO is applying of modern information technologies intended for integration of the processes executed during product and its components life cycle.
Handed over in maintenance in 2001 Engineering Centere (EC) is possesses for automatic workplaces connected up to corporate web. EC employees successfully use integrated products' models and databases, which allows increasing efficiency of goods development, production and after sale service processes.
CALS-techniques allow effectively solve problems of quality improvement and periods of emitted products posing on production. At KnAAPO it is used a wide spectrum of CAD-systems, oriented at automation of designer accompaniment, projection and production technological opening-up - AutoCAD, Unigraphics, Solid Edge, opening unrestricted opportunities to 3-D simulations.
Analysis and estimations of design and technological decisions are achieved thanks to CAE-facilities. Development of pilot programs for the process equipment with numeric program control is carried out by means of CAM-systems.
